Bull Run Concert. (April 18th, 2008)

So, I went to a Bull Run concert this Friday. Bull Run is an amazing band, and I've pretty much become their official photographer.

My Dad's Birthday. (April 14th, 2008)

It's my dad's birthday today. We were driving to his parents house when I snapped this shot as the sun was setting over Illinois.

PJ Love. (April 12th, 2008)

John H. White is a Pulitzer Prize winning Photojournalist from the Chicago Sun Times who has also been teaching Photojournalism at Columbia College Chicago since the late 70's. He holds a seminar every year called "PJ Love". (PJ of course standing for Photojournalism.)

Basically, John H. White and his friends, (some of the top photographers in the world) come downtown every year to give 10-15 minute presentations on photography to whoever is interested in listening.

Cameras are not only recommended, but I saw John H. White yelling at a guy for putting his lens cap on.

It's totally free, they give you lunch, and if you sign up for the "Shoot Out" (anyone can sign up) and your picture is chosen as the best of the days photographs (I didn't win this year, surprisingly enough, haha.) you get a $200 gift card to Central Camera Shop.

It drags on sometimes when some of the presenters aren't the best public speakers, but if you're really into photography, it's the place to be.

Concordia Battle of the Bands. (April 11th, 2008)

I went to a battle of the bands this Friday.

The Idiosyncrasies, The New Royalty, Mary Martha Trio, Bury Me At Makeout Creek and Last Fast Action all played, (plus Fingsten and Audible Empire, not pictured here.)

The concert was a benefit for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

First Blog.

Hey folks.

This is my first blog. More to come, I hope. My basic vision for this thing is that I'll be able to provide some good music and photography for you all and post some interesting stories about my life.

I got into a fight. It was awesome. You should have seen the other guy. I guess that's the story of my first post.
